The National Strategic Board
NPAS is governed by a National Strategic Board
Sitting on the Board are Police and Crime Commissioners and Chief Constables, representing nine NPAS regions, plus the Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police, John Robins, and West Yorkshire's Deputy Mayor of Policing and Crime Alison Lowe, who represent the current lead policing body for NPAS.
Changes to Board membership in 2024/25
We welcomed Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Ben Adams as the new chair of the National Strategic Board, a role he was voted into after PCC Lisa Townsend stepped down.
In the North West region, PCC John Dwyer and Chief Con Mark Roberts both stood down and their positions were taken up by PCC Dan Price and Chief Con Sacha Hatchett. Chief Con Alex Franklin-Smith took the position previously held by Chief Con Debbie Tedds in the West Midlands.
PCC Gary Godden was appointed for the East Midlands region, and PFCC Tim Passmore took over the Eastern region role from PCC Festus Akinbusoye.
In the South East, PCC Donna Jones replaced PCC Lisa Townsend in the seat. Chief Con John Reilly took over from Chief Con Catherine Roper in the South West and Mark Hobrough joined for Wales after Pam Kelly stepped down.
Former members are thanked for their contribution.
