NPAS to feature in West Mercia Police documentary on BBC2

The National Police Air Service (NPAS) will feature in the upcoming BBC2 documentary series Murder 24/7, which offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the work of West Mercia Police’s Major Investigation Unit.

This six-part series, produced by Expectation TV, follows six major investigations from the moment a crime is reported through to arrest and charge. The investigation into the tragic death of Aurman Singh is featured across the first three episodes, with NPAS playing a key role in supporting the police response.

NPAS Birmingham crew provided vital aerial support during the investigation, helping to direct officers to key suspects and the location of the weapon. This highlights the essential role NPAS plays in supporting police forces across England and Wales, enhancing operational effectiveness and public safety.

The first three episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer from Monday 16 June 2025, with Episode One airing on BBC2 at 9pm the same evening. Episode Two and Episode Three will follow on Tuesday 17 June and Wednesday 18 June, respectively, also at 9pm on BBC2.
