The National Police Air Service (NPAS) provides air support to police forces across England and Wales. 

We are a national support service and are not the lead agency for the incidents we attend.

NPAS-related enquiries

For all NPAS-related media enquiries, please email: [email protected] 

Where appropriate, we will:

• Provide a brief overview of NPAS’s involvement in an incident, including date, time, aircraft crew deployed and time of task
• Share the relevant local police log number(s) to assist with follow-up
• Copy in the local force communications team for transparency and coordination

We aim to respond within one working day during office hours (Monday to Friday). 

If your enquiry is urgent or time-sensitive, please include your deadline so we can prioritise accordingly.

Incident-specific enquiries

For all media enquiries relating to specific police incidents, please contact the communications team of the relevant local police force. 

They are responsible for providing detailed information about incidents, investigations, and operational matters.

Documentary requests

We appreciate the interest shown by production companies in the work of NPAS. 

At present, we are not accepting new proposals. However, we will review our position in the new year, so please keep us in mind for future opportunities.
