Laser attacks on our crews

Strikes on aircraft by lasers and bright lights are at best a distraction, and at worst a cause of danger to the aircraft, it's occupants, and those below, particularly if the strike occurs during a critical phase of flight.

You may not be aware, but it is against the law to shine lasers and lights at an aircraft: you may be prosecuted for endangering an aircraft, or lesser offences. The courts take such offences extremely seriously and in recent years several prosecutions have resulted in custodial sentences!
